History

Seiko Solutions Inc. started operation on April 1, 2013 after it was assigned the system solutions business of Seiko Precision Inc.

As we quickly and reliably meet the needs of our customers while forming our new company to increase mobility and optimize our work, we are working to expand our business operations to form a third main business segment to join the watch, electronic device, and mechatronics businesses of the Seiko Holdings Group.

1881 Establishment of K. Hattori (the present-day Seiko Holdings Corporation)
1892 Establishment of Seikosha (the present-day Seiko Precision Inc.) as the manufacturing arm of K. Hattori
1937 Establishment of Daini Seikosha Co., Ltd. (the present-day Seiko Instruments Inc.)
1970 Seikosha is split off from K. Hattori and incorporated as Seikosha Co., Ltd.
1974 Establishment of System Services Inc. (later Seiko Systems Inc.) as a wholly owned subsidiary of Seikosha Co., Ltd.
1996 The Seikosha Group is reorganized, Seiko Precision Inc. is established, and Seiko Systems Inc. is integrated
2009 Seiko Instruments Inc. becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Seiko Holdings Corporation
2013 The systems business of Seiko Precision Inc. and Chronotrust business of Seiko Instruments Inc. are integrated
